YOUNG STARS CAN EMERGE AT KILKENNY

The opening round of the €10,000 Boylesports A3 Bitch 525 is the undoubted feature at Kilkenny this evening.

As you would expect in this sort of competition, boasting a winner’s purse of €4,500, there are plenty of promising youngsters on show and they are perhaps the ones to follow.

RUBY READY TO ROCK

Picking winners won’t be easy this evening with many likely to go far faster than A3 time but it is certainly worth paying attention.

One that does appeal is Tell On Ruby. A good winner at Shelbourne Park over two bends on Tuesday in a rapid 18.60, she is clearly ready to claim a first win over four bends. She is expected to come home in front on Heat 2 for Darren Byrnes and Owen McKenna.

ROBYN GETS THE NOD

Razldazl Robyn and Maybe are both bred in the purple and expected to improve on previous form in Heat 3.

If doing so, they should have too much ammunition for their more exposed rivals. Razldazl Robyn gets the nod but don’t be surprised of Maybe makes a bold bid.

ROBIN COULD DEVELOP INTO A STAR

Glengar Robin is perhaps the most exciting youngster in the competition.

A real eye-catcher in her three previous outings in an open unraced sprint at Shelbourne Park, she has shown huge pace and looks certain to appreciate the step up to 525yds. If trapping on terms from four, she should quickly emerge as a leading fancy in Heat 4.

The Other Robyn is also promising and can emerge as a threat but Glengar Robin gives the impression, even at this early stage of her career, that she could develop into an Oaks bitch in 2027.

TOP HONORS FOR DROOPYS

Droopys Honor, as a daughter of Droopys Addition and super brood Droopys Curio, is bred to be fast and she catches the eye in Heat 5.

Out of luck in her previous starts over two bends, she will be better suited by four bends and can emerge a good winner for Murt Leahy. Others respected in this contest include Headwire Trout and Allstar Tory.
