Damien Lonergan of BOYLE Sports has reported that Ballymac Gwennie would be a poor result for the sponsors should she emerge on top on Saturday night in the BOYLE Sports Champion Plate.

She was well-backed at double figure odds ahead of the opening round and is now just 7-4 for Saturday’s decider. Newinn Spot ran a fine race in defeat, showing tremendous early speed and is next in at 5-2 with his semi-final conqueror Priceless Romeo next in at 7-2. They then bet 6-1 Ballymac Siun with Coolemount Fame at 10-1 and Ello Ello the 12-1 outsider.
