DERBY JOURNEY STARTS TODAY

When the first names are placed into the draw drum this morning for the BOYLE Sports Irish Greyhound Derby, it will signal the beginning of the most magical six-week period in world greyhound racing.

This year's blue riband has attracted a truly stellar entry, and the twists and turns that lie ahead are certain to keep racing fans captivated from start to finish. Shelbourne Park, the sport's most iconic stage, is looking magnificent following its recent facelift and is ready to provide the perfect backdrop for another unforgettable Derby.

There can be no doubt that all roads lead to September 12th, when the famous Ringsend venue will host the greatest celebration in greyhound racing. To everyone fortunate enough to have a runner, or those who have already taken an ante-post position, the very best of luck. Let the journey begin.
