Shelbourne Park opened in May 1927 and throughout our almost 100 year history, we've welcomed generations of Irish families and overseas visitors to a night at the dogs.
In September 2024, we unveiled an exciting new addition to the stadium, the Shelbourne Park Museum which offers visitors an insight into the varied history of our venue and sport.
The Shelbourne Park Museum is open on race nights and admission to the museum is included in your racing admission / package.
News of the new Shelbourne Park Museum featured on RTE Radio 1's Morning Ireland programme, with Pauric Lodge visiting the Museum and interviewing Greyhound Racing Ireland's Head of Marketing, Orla Strumble, about the project.

The small but mighty Shelbourne Park Museum is full of interesting stories, memorabilia and more for you to enjoy.
In the 1950's Spanish Battleship completed a famous Derby treble, a feat which has never been repeated, and has become one of the most profilic names in Greyhound Racing globally.
We are delighted to have received Spanish Battleship's 1954 on loan from the family of the late Tim "Chubb" O'Connor. 70 years on, the 1954 trophy will be proudly displayed in the museum throughout the 2024 BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby - don't miss your chance to see a piece of greyhound racing history.
