Following the Government announcement, on the Friday 17th December, further COVID-19 public health restrictions have been introduced in relation to both indoor events and hospitality which come into effect from Midnight on Sunday the 19th of December.

These new restrictions mean that no indoor events, including entertainment, cultural, community and sporting events, will take place after 8pm. Restaurants and bars must also close at 8pm with the exception of takeaway outlets.  The impact of these new public health restrictions on greyhound racing based on the current racing schedules would mean that our events would be outdoor only.

To ensure our facilities can continue to operate from Monday 20th December, all race meetings with the exception of current SIS meetings will start earlier with the first race off at 5.45pm. The interval between races will be 12 minutes, and all races will be completed by 8.00pm.

In relation to SIS evening meetings (Friday nights), races times will remain unchanged and stadium buildings will be open until 8.00pm, at which stage the event will become outdoor only.

For Indoor Events spectators/patrons should be fully seated when indoors at a maximum of 50% capacity. No standing will be permitted except in circumstances where patrons wish to access F&B facilities and tote betting services where patrons must strictly follow the queuing systems in place across all venues.

The following protective measures will remain in place in line with the updated guidance:

  • - Requirement for EU Digital COVID Certificate (COVID-19 pass) (vaccine or recovery certificate) to be produced to avail of the available indoor seating.
  • - Face masks must be worn (can be removed for consumption of food or drinks as appropriate).
  • - Collection of contact information for contract tracing.
  • - Available seating in the ground floor areas is available on a first come first served basis. We would ask that preference is given to patrons who are elderly, with special needs or disabilities. Patrons are asked to remain seated and limit their movement while at the venue.

On arrival to the stadium at all points of entry patrons, owners, trainers etc will asked to produce EU Digital COVID Certificate (COVID-19 pass) (vaccine or recovery certificate). In the event that these cannot be produced patrons will be not permitted to access the available indoor seating.

As always, the support of our patrons in the implementation of COVID-19 preventive measures is greatly appreciated.
