Track Records Broken In Limerick & Clonmel

The Pat Buckley trained Unanimouspanther won the 2024 Kasko National Produce Stakes at Clonmel Greyhound Stadium on Sunday evening along with a whopping €20,000.

From trap one this son of Droopys Sydney – Mystical Moll showed brilliant pace to take up the running from the Brendan Maunsell trained In Good Time in trap six. Panther was soon in control, and it was evident he was going to be hard to beat with the 13/8 favourite Romeo Taylor back in third place.

Unanimouspanther went on to win by three lengths in a fast time of 28.38 for owner Ciaran O’Sullivan who was thrilled to win his first ever classic title. It was a brilliant evening with the sun shining and a large crowd arrived to enjoy the racing.

Track Record

They were treated to a stunning performance from the William Brennan trained Ardera Freya as this daughter of Head Bound – Fork Lightning set a new track record for the 550 yards clocking 29.58 (previous record was 29.59 held by Clonbrien Swift since 2009!). This speedy lady won The Tom ‘Piper’ Delahunty Memorial A2 Final worth €1,500.

There was also another track record broken in Limerick and this time it was over the 350 yards by the recent Islandbridge Open champion. The Graham Holland trained Ballinakill Alf clocked 18.22 for the Pillar Syndicate in the opening round of the Treaty Cup (previous record was 18.36 held by Cree Jo Jo since 2023!)
