SHELONE THE BOSS IN DUNDALK FEATURE

Pat Malone’s Shelone Boss (Ballymac Cashout/ Grove Zenyatta) emerged a good winner of Friday’s feature at Dundalk, the final of the Track Supporters Club A3 525, showing great strength to pick up his litter brother and kennel companion Shelone Verde.

Teenas Farah flew from traps to lead the field into the turn only to be headed by Lisa Lashes.

Meanwhile, Shelone Verde who was so impressive in the early rounds missed the kick and was forced to negotiate some traffic before making a move along the fence. Lisa Lashes led the field into the back straight, but Shelone Verde and Teenas Farah were hot in pursuit. Shelone Boss was poised just behind the pair, setting up a tremendous finish.

Shelone Verde went to the front at the third turn but both Teenas Farah and Shelone Boss were starting to close. Shelone Boss headed Teenas Farah at the third turn and slipped up the inside of Lisa Lashes as they turned for home.

It was now a straight-out race to the line. Shelone Verde, having worked hard to get to the front began to tire. In contrast, Shelone Boss was full of running and came through to land the €2,000 prize by a length and a half in 28.90. Teenas Farah came home well to go second on the line, a short head to the good over Shelone Verde.
