Rye Rye Rye (Ballymac Best-Ballymac Merkle) delivered a brilliant performance to win the €2,400-to-the-winner Hannafin Cup A2 stake at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on Friday night.
Trained by Edward O'Sullivan for the Met In The Sean Os Syndicate, the November puppy delivered a career best to win the feature final. He wasn't the quickest away, but he made full use of the inside line to turn second behind Joes Wink.
Showing real speed on the back straight to lead, he then put on a fantastic finish to score. Well on top in the closing stages, the impressive winner came home five and a half lengths clear of Millridge Mal.
