Pat Buckley and Gilbert Anderson have shared many great nights together in the sport of greyhound racing and there is every chance they will share more in the coming years.

Starting tonight with Singalong Magic set to start a warm favourite to win the Kiltrea Kennels Open Unraced at Enniscorthy.

The duo had a good Sunday with Singalong Cherry securing her place in next weekend’s BGBF Produce Stakes decider at Towcester tonight is the turn of her kennel companion Singalong Magic to take the headlines.

She was brilliant in her semi-final, winning by a wide margin in a sizzling 28.53 and has been rewarded for that run with an ideal draw on the fence. Standing in her way are some talented trackers including her kennel companion Barnfield Jack, semi-final winner Ashwood Ozzy and the early paced Running Saint. Throw in the progressive Poppy Cool and Fercullen Cathy and it is a contest packed with promising types.

But Singalong Magic remains a clear and obvious favourite to land the €2,000 prize. If starting on terms, she can turn close to the pace before charging clear into the third turn. This may prove to be just one step on the road to superstardom for the daughter of Shima Shine.
