FIVE FROM FIVE AND 1XBET MUNSTER OAKS SUCCESS FOR LONG SIESTA

LONG SIESTA (Grangeview Ten-Ballymac Tam) made it five wins from as many starts in the feature at Kilcohan Park on Saturday night, the €7,000 to the winner 1XBet Munster Oaks final.

Owned by John Doyle JNR and Brian Doyle, the July ‘24 whelp produced her best start of the event, posting a 3.14 sectional to win the all important early lead.
Slipping around in front, she was soon chased by Connemara Lady and recent Galway Oaks winner Magical Be Nifty.
The 7-4 second favourite was always doing enough up front and she stuck to her task well to land the spoils and maintain her impressive winning sequence.
At the winning line, Long Siesta was half a length clear of Magical Be Nifty with Connemara Lady a length back in third, in 28.47.

There was just one heat in the Casey’s Caravan & Camping Park Unraced Stake, a re run from the opening round and it was Drumcrow Zippy (King Sheeran-Barnish Skye) who won the 4-runner race for trainer Michael Casey and owner Cillian O’Brien. 

The August puppy came away well to make all the running from trap five. A 29.40 winning display, three lengths clear of Des Dream.
