MANUONE WORTH TAKING A CHANCE ON

MANUONE WORTH TAKING A CHANCE ON

Peter Farrell

Manuone may not be a name familiar to everyone within the greyhound fraternity, however, this very talented greyhound has produced some incredible performances in what has been a short racing career.

Owned by Tony Maxwell of Lifford, Manuone (Sept’19) has just the fourteen races under his belt but he started off in super style, posting a red-hot 16.67 on debut around the Brandywell track in Derry. Clearly in possession of a big engine, the son of Droopys Sydney and Shirocco Star improved at a rate of knots thereafter as he clocked 21.28, off a 7.13 sectional, in just his fourth career start at Dundalk.

Unfortunately, the career of Manuone has been stop-start due to a tendon injury, but this hasn’t prevented the talented brindle from producing glimpses of brilliance, as displayed in his 27.47 race win at Derry, the second fastest time ever recorded for the 500-yard trip. Indeed, just last night, Manuone broke the track record in an official 300-yard trial at the Northern venue as he posted an incredible 16.33 on the clock, which is one length faster than the current track record.

Manuone is another in a long line of extremely talented greyhounds who have been unable to fulfill their obvious potential due to injury. That said, this lightly raced greyhound is worth taking a chance on at stud. Extremely well-bred out of Shirocco Star, who has produced the likes of Belluga Boy and leading bitch Illnotbeback, please reach out to Tony on the below contact number as he is looking for one suitable brood bitch to mate to Manuone on a deal basis.
