IRGT DOGS & THEIR TALES PODCAST NOREEN O'SHEA

GRI

Rory speaks to Kerry woman now living in Dublin, Noreen O’Shea.

Noreen adopted a greyhound called Ziggy after her 16 year old lurcher died. Noreen is a family friend of a greyhound trainer, Liam Dowling, and she had expressed her interest in rehoming a greyhound. After a lengthy weight, she got a call that they had a greyhound for rehoming and that was the start of a beautiful story.

Ziggy is just 2 years old now and came to Noreen having never raced. She was very friendly and sociable, so the transition was relatively easy with just some introductions to household items like the TV to be made. Because the racing kennels start their day early, the biggest adjustment was getting her used to sleeping in!

Noreen and her greyhound Ziggy have been enjoying their travels across Europe and she shares some of their stories and their life together. Before Christmas, we shared their lovely video, check it out on our Facebook.
