The semi-finals of the KKY Track Supporters Club A3 525 are the highlight of this evening’s action at Kilkenny.
Lemon Reba belied the wet conditions to set the standard in the opening round, posting 29.50 on a track rated .50 slow.
She can again take some stopping in the first of the two semis. Tom Lennon’s daughter of Ballymac Best wears the black jacket of four and will be difficult to contain if coming away on terms. Getting to the front early is imperative but she is consistent at boxes and is selected to make all at the expense of Goldmine Diamond and Sober Countess.
Noirs Ben is the choice in the second heat. The Shaun Conway trained son of Good News knows his way around Kilkenny and boats plenty of fine form in higher grades over the past couple of years. If finding a start, he can quickly find himself in a challenging position before forcing his way to the front from halfway. Ballygur Jim and Oriental Jim are selected to chase him home.
