Graham Holland claimed a second TIME Greyhound Nutrition Juvenile at Towcester on Sunday afternoon with Swords Style once again displaying his love for the Northamptonshire circuit.
A big mover in the market, the son of Grangeview ten was sent top boxes the 6-4 favourite and his many backers were never under any pressure.
His nearest market rival was Santas Amigo and he ran a fine race in second but Swords Style was again flawless. An impressive Derby Trial Stake winner a week earlier, he again broke smartly to dictate from the opening yards.
Scooby The Lady was second into the turn while Paul Hennessy’s Coloursaregreen flew up the fence to go third, only to check wide at the bend. He would find further bother at the second and third turns.
In contrast, Swords Style entered the back straight with two and a half lengths in hand.
Santas Amigo rounded Scooby The Lady this point to take up the pursuit but Swords Style is really suited by the nature of the Towcester circuit. Scooby The Lady came back at Santas Amigo into the third turn but Swords Style was never going to be denied when maintaining his advantage to this point.
As he so often does, he kicked again at this point and stayed on well to emerge a two length winner over Santas Amigo in 28.79. Scooby The Lady found bad traffic after clashing with Santas Amigo between the last two bends, eventually finishing almost seven lengths adrift in third.
PROFILE AND BRIAN ALSO SCORE FOR HOLLAND
Elsewhere on the card, Graham Holland set up a hat trick with both Low Profile and Slippery Brian impressing in their respective Derby Trial Stakes.
Low Profile was particularly impressing, posting a fastest of the year 28.50 after a flying start. Making every inch, he emerged a seven length scorer.
Slippery Brian moved to the front on the turn, slipping around Goldcash Warrior as the latter bumped the challenging The Other Chief. Once going to the front, he held off his rival by a length in 28.62.
