SWEEPSTAKE ACTION AT KILKENNY

Ian Fortune

There’s plenty to sink your teeth into at Kilkenny this evening with ten of the eleven races made up of sweepstake action.

In terms of monetary value, the Track Bookmakers & KGOBA A2 525 is the feature and both semi-finals looks hugely competitive.

RACER TO LIVE UP TO HIS NAME

Born Racer may have been beaten a long way in the opening round but is nominated to return to winning ways in the opening heat for John Mitchell and Jennifer O’Donnell.

A talented youngster with fine early speed, he is chosen to get loose into the turn to atone for his latest defeat.

Both Ballybough Olwyn and Doggie Brasco won well last week and can offer the most resistance to Born Racer who is chosen to make all.

OZZY CAN FOLLOW UP

The second heat is wide open. Less than three lengths separated the entire field last week.

Deadly Crusader is always respected and has an ideal draw in the stripes but he needs to be at his sharpest. Creative Ozzy overcame early traffic to win in 29.29 last week and a repeat of that form would see him go close.

GLAMOUR CAN OBLIGE

Elsewhere on the card.

Droopys Glamour stands out as the one to beat in the eighth race, while Father Pat and Ardscull Hank also appeal in the semis of the Unraced comp.
