It’s obviously going to be a crazy period at Shelbourne Park all the way through to Christmas so to make life a little easier for all involved it’s worth taking note of some of the notices listed below, which include details of the Derby.
DERBY PAYMENTS
Owners and trainers should be aware that they can contact the racing team at Shelbourne Park on on 0858004891 regarding payment of their Derby entry fees.
Contact will be made from 3pm to 5.30pm on Thursday via card payments. This will allow for a smoother weigh-in over the weekend. If possible, please pay your fees during this window.
KENNELING TIMES AND TRIALS FOR COMING WEEKS
From the opening round of the Derby up through to, and including, the semi-finals, the opening race will be scheduled for 7.34pm.
This will mean an earlier kennelling time between 6.20pm and 7pm.
Thursday nights will remain as normal with the opening race 7.42pm and weigh-in between 6.40pm to 7.10pm.
It’s also worth pointing out there will be no trials after weigh-in on Friday or Saturday or any night with Derby heats.
5.30pm weigh in trials will go ahead on Thursday, Friday and Saturday as usual, finishing at 6pm. [Booking only 0858004891 or online.]
Unofficial trials won’t take place on Fridays with track preparations for the Derby seen as the priority.
instead, the session will move forward to Thursdays between 4 and 5pm. Booking only 0858004891.
There will be no unofficial trials on Monday 21st October due to track maintenance. Monday October 28th is a Bank Holiday meaning unofficial trials will be on Tuesday October, October 29th. This can be booked online (9.30am to 2.30pm).
