Both semi-finals of the IGOBF National Puppy Stake were worth the admission to Shelbourne Park on Saturday night.
Ballymac Eli and Untold Rufiyaa emerged on top but both had to work hard to win their respective heats and we are left with an incredibly open decider.
Boylesports have issued prices for the €12,500 decider and the market highlights the open nature of the contest. Untold Rufiyaa has been installed the marginal favourite at 2-1, just ahead of Lemon Joey on 9-4.
Ballymac Eli set the standard in the semis with a wonderful 28.13 return and he has been put in at 7-2 with Droopys Deploy at just 4-1, the fourth choice in the betting. Shebetheone actually ran a big race in the semi-final and won’t be friendless at 10-1 while Hopes Kitty is the outsider of the field at 12-1.
