PRICE THE TOP PRIVATE HANDLER

With a hugely impressive 72 winners from 319 runners, Rosemary Price topped the 2024 private trainer’s list. With a number of top-class runners at her disposal, particularly in the second half of the year, Rosemary will be hoping to get off to a fast start in 2025.
So many of her team are winning races at Shelbourne Park in top company, including Is She There, Air Fryer, while Pennys Cailin was a superb winner at the Winter Racing Festival.
Second in the list is Jamie Slevin with a brilliant 65 wins, while Owen McDonagh had 61 winners to finish third. It’s worth pointing out that both Slevin and McDonagh would have topped the list in 2023 with that many winners.
Kevin McLean ended up with 57 winners to finish fourth on the list, while Paul Whyte completed the top five with 55 wins.
