NELLIE BUCKETS GIVES YOUNG OWNER CAELAN FRANEY A FIRST EVER WINNER

Young owner Caelan Franey enjoyed a night to remember in Youghal on Wednesday night as he sent out his first-ever winner in the shape of Nellie Buckets.

A regular at the Youghal track with his grandfather, Donogh McLean, Caelan is a huge part of the operation at home. Nellie Buckets had hit the crossbar in recent efforts, but there were no mistakes this time around, as he flew from traps to make every yard of the running and land the spoils, in 30.13, winning by a wide margin.

Everyone can remember their first winner so I'm sure this is something that will be talked about for many years to come and no doubt, the first of many winners. A huge thanks must go to Racing Manager Ian Magnier and all at Youghal track for the lovely presentation after Caelan's first winner. He is a happy boy gone to school this morning. Well done Caelan and keep up all the great hard work.
