Owners and trainers are reminded that the Deadly Kennels McCalmont Cup (an A1/A2 525 sweepstake) gets underway at Kilkenny on Friday, February 27th.

This year’s competition is open to 36 greyhounds (Back-graders permitted) and boasts an impressive winner’s purse of €7,000 and a total prize fund of €15,000.

Once again, this historic sweepstake is kindly sponsored by Gary Hannon of the Deadly Kennels. Last year’s competition went to the Shaun Conway trained Lotto Other News and hope are high for another exceptional renewal.

TOM BROWNE MEMORIAL

Entries are also invited for the Tom Browne Memorial A3 525 which commences a week later on Friday, March 6th.

This is for 24 greyhounds (Back-graders permitted) and boasts a winner’s prize of €1,600. 

CHAMPION UNRACED DETAILS

Also, a reminder to all that the €30,000 Kilkenny Track Champion Open Unraced is set for an earlier start than normal.

Traditionally, the famous competition begins in early May but this year’s renewal is set to commence on Friday April 3rd.  As in previous years, the stake is for 48 greyhounds and is worth a whopping €15,000 to the winner.
