KEEFILL THE LATEST UK RUNNER AIMING AT DERBY

Ian Fortune

Fresh from the news that UK star March On Freddie is to take in the Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby, the further news that Keefill Maverick has been entered up comes as another bonus.

The British bred son of Droopys Addition has been given his special authority and is set to travel to Shelbourne in the coming weeks.

The July ’22 whelp is from a fast family with his dam Tarsna Atalanta very well bred, while his granddam Tarsna Danceaway is a litter sister to former Irish St Leger champion Skywalker Rory. Keefill Maverick also happens to be very useful and boasts some fine form for his sporting handler Phil Milner.

A regular winner in recent months, he was actually sent off favourite for the British Bred Puppy Cup at Oxford earlier in the year only to finish a good second. There seems no doubt he has improved since then and looks the type that will run Shelbourne Park well.

Boasting fast times around Doncaster, Oxford and Sunderland, he is a welcome addition to the Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby and we wish his connections the best of luck.
