JACK WITH AN ELITE DISPLAY

The final of the Elite Black at Stud May Unraced came to a conclusion at Enniscorthy on Monday evening and Blackhill Jack did what was necessary to emerge a good winner of the €2,650 to the winner contest.

Fittingly, for a competition named after Elite Black, a greyhound with tremendous early speed and class, Blackhill Jack displayed superior early dash up the fence to get to the front before the opening corner.

There was a little crowding amongst the remainder at the turn and Mini Skinny moved second. The latter checked off as they entered the back, leaving Ballinabola Jake to shoot into second spot and emerge a big danger.

Closing into the third turn, Ballinabola Jake attempted to move through on the fence only to have the door closer on him by Blackhill Jack. This allowed Mini Skinny to move second again but there was no stopping Blackhill Jack.

Trained by Anton Butler for Shane Duggan, the son of Burgess Bucks and Black Moll went on to see off Mini Skinny by two lengths in 29.24. There was a further two length gap to Ballinabola Jake in third.
