A LEGEND IN SWEDEN

The final of the Swedish Derby was run over the weekend at Akersberga and it was won by the Lars and Anita Wicander owned and trained Joe La Bello.

The winner is a son of No More Legend and Hazel O’Hannah and, for once, there is very little Irish blood in the breeding. Indeed, one has to go back to find Moyne Rebel and the likes in his breeding lines. Joe La Bello clocked 32.08 for the too yards trip. Last year he won the Puppy Derby while the sire No More Legends had won the Derby back in 2011 and 2012.

The Irish bred Razldazl Audrey and Ballybeg Galway finished second and third in the final.
