In Loving Memory of Michael Pascal O’Ryan
A race is being held in his memory on Sunday 24th of November at Limerick Greyhound Stadium.
Michael Pascal O’Ryan passed away on the 4th of December 2022, 7 days before his 90th birthday. On that day the world of greyhound sport lost a true gentleman and friend of the track and coursing. Down the years he had success in both, which he was very proud of, whether he lost or won he enjoyed it just the same as he was out among friends.
His life centred around his wife Emma, his dogs and his friends - and a true friend he always was, always there when needed.
Michael Pascal was from Hollyford in Tipperary, his work took him to England, Dublin and then Limerick where he finally settled down, but his heart was always in Hollyford.
The highlight of his week was his trip to the dog track where he loved to chat to everyone, or as his friends would say “hearing confessions”. He loved a good joke and chat.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that made this evening possible especially Michael Pascals greyhound friends who contributed and also the management and staff of Limerick Greyhound Stadium.
Thanking you.
Michael O Grady & Denis Hayes.
