It’s with great sadness we must report the passing of Harry Seery.
Harry, who hailed from Horestown, co Wexford, was a true doggy man and was a regular at the tracks of Ireland for many, many years. A shrewd handler, he was always happiest when getting one over on the bookies and he regularly did through his training career.
Harry was a quite unassuming man but had a sharp wit and a real glint in the eye. When he whispered that he gave one of his dogs a chance, you had to pay heed. He trained many fast dogs over the years but one that was particularly close to his heart was Rustys Coyote.
A real early speedster, Harry steered him to win at six different tracks over his long career and he managed to win four in the bounce around Shelbourne Park, including two open sprints.
Harry was a real character and great company. He had many friends throughout Ireland and will be sadly missed. We send on our sincerest condolences to his wife Maureen, his daughter Yvonne, his brother Seamus and sister Florrie, his grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
May He Rest In Peace.
