GREYHOUND Racing Ireland has confirmed that four more of its major events will be shown live on RPGTV this year in addition to the already-announced Corn Cuchulainn, Champion Stakes and closing rounds of the Irish Derby all at Shelbourne Park.
RPGTV has now added coverage of the finals of the Irish Greyhound Laurels at Curraheen Park, Cork in October, the Irish Greyhound St Leger at Limerick the following month and promises a big finish to the year with the Night of Stars at Shelbourne Park and the Kingdom Derby at Tralee in December.
Ger Dollard, CEO of Greyhound Racing Ireland said: "We are delighted to partner once again with RPGTV in announcing this impressive live broadcast schedule for the remainder of 2021. All of the events listed are top class finals and will further showcase live Irish greyhound racing to both a national and international audience".
RPGTV executive producer Clive Lawrence said: “The further coverage of major Irish events once again fulfils our remit of RPGTV showing the best quality racing available to us. The Irish Derby has been a regular fixture on our screens, but I am delighted to be able to show some other major finals from around Ireland". He continued "Adding the forthcoming events to our earlier broadcasts of the Gold Cup and Easter Cup at Shelbourne Park and the Kirby Memorial at Limerick shows we have offered viewers comprehensive coverage of the very best of Irish greyhound racing.”
