Owners and trainers are advised to take note of several upcoming sweepstakes at Clonmel Greyhound Stadium, with a busy and exciting programme building towards the Festival of Racing at the end of the month.

While the Rural Kennels Unraced 525 is already well underway at the Suirside venue, there is a strong line-up of graded stakes in the pipeline.

Clonmel will race this Thursday night, featuring second-round heats of both the Rural Kennels Unraced and the John White Memorial, along with the commencement of the Sporting Press A1/A2 550. Entries are required for this stake.

On Sunday, January 18th, the opening round of the Tommy & Bridget Dunford Memorial AO/A1 Bitch 525 will get underway, however the stake is currently under-subscribed. With an exceptional winner’s prize of €2,500 on offer, owners and trainers are strongly encouraged to support this event and submit entries as soon as possible. It represents an excellent opportunity for bitches and an ideal way to kickstart the 2026 season, with a possible view towards an Oaks campaign later in the year.

Entries for the above stakes must be submitted today, or no later than 10:00am tomorrow morning.
