DOUBLE WIN FOR SHELBOURNE PARK AT THE IRISH CONSTRUCTION EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Winners – Architectural Design Excellence Award & Project Fit-Out Award

Greyhound Racing Ireland is proud to announce that Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium has taken home two major awards at this year’s Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Awards, held last night at The Convention Centre Dublin.

Shelbourne Park was first announced as the winner of the Architectural Design Excellence Award, followed later in the evening by a second victory in the Project Fit-Out Award category.

These awards recognise the vision, craftsmanship, and collaboration behind the major redevelopment of one of Ireland’s most iconic sporting venues.

The architectural transformation was led by LAM Architects Ltd., with Tara Lamb and her team delivering a striking redesign that balances heritage with innovation, positioning Shelbourne Park as a vibrant night-time destination in the heart of Dublin.

The exceptional project fit-out was delivered in partnership with Grant Fit Out, whose attention to detail and quality execution ensured the stadium's modern facilities met the highest standards for visitors and fans.

Tim Lucey, CEO of Greyhound Racing Ireland, commented:  “To see Shelbourne Park honoured not once, but twice last night is a tremendous achievement and a source of great pride for everyone involved. These awards highlight not just the design excellence and quality of the fit-out, but the powerful collaboration behind the project. This double award success reflects Greyhound Racing Ireland’s continued investment in revitalising and reinforcing the cultural and sporting significance of greyhound racing in Ireland.

Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium is one of Ireland’s most iconic sporting venues, having first hosted greyhound racing in 1927. Located in the heart of Dublin, the stadium now welcomes fans for thrilling live racing three nights a week—Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
