BLITZ ON TOP IN KILTREA KENNELS UNRACED AT ENNISCORTHY

Glengar Blitz overcame a tricky draw in five to capture the Kiltrea Kennels Open Unraced at Enniscorthy on Monday night for Pat Buckley and owner Bradley Canty.

In reality, the well-bred daughter of Glengar Bale and Stream Of Syndey made light work of her task, shooting from traps to post a rapid 3.17 sectional. It was all very straightforward thereafter. Faraway Downs turned second but couldn’t live with the leader.

Instead, Saunders Blue and Glengar Star ran on strongly to take second and third but Glengar Blitz was in a league of her own. Maintaining a strong gallop to the line, the promising youngster hit the line seven and a half lengths clear in 29.07. Saunders Blue was second, a length and a half ahead of Glengar Star in third.
