Seven Beach was the undoubted star of the opening half of 2025, winning four major prizes including the Tote Gold Cup.

He is clearly being readied for the early season showpiece with a view to defending his title.

He had a spin at Shelbourne on Saturday and posted a very encouraging 28.47 for the 525yd trip. The son of Pestana, who also captured the Select Stakes, Race of Champions and Champions Stakes in 2025, is now well into his fifth year but he has never been overly raced and is still capable of performing at the highest level.
