BACH PLAYS A SWEET TUNE AT SHELBOURNE

    The feature of Thursday’s action at Shelbourne Park was the final of the Islandbridge Sprint Starts in May S1 350 and David McGrath’s Badminton Bach said goodbye to graded company in some style, leaving his rivals standing in the manner of a greyhound with a bright future over two bends.

    An impressive semi-final winner in 18.63, he went even faster oni this occasion, showing wonderful acceleration to move clear of his rivals after a pretty level start. By the turn, the Donal Murphy trained son of Newinn Taylor and Badminton Razl was in total command and he was unrelenting to the line, seeing off Clonkeen Top by four lengths in a rapid 18.52. He also posted a sizzling 5.95 sectional.
