MASSIVE CROWD TURN OUT TO SUPPORT KERRY GAA IN THE KINGDOM GREYHOUND STADIUM

Barryn Drake

I'm reliably informed that a massive crowd turned up at the Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on Friday night as Kerry GAA held their annual fundraiser at the Tralee track.

It was an ideal opportunity to meet all the Kerry stars with the footballers and hurlers in attendance plus the very special guest Sam Maguire! The place looked like it was buzzing with so much going on throughout the night.

ON THE TRACK

On the track, the quickest run of the night came from Toems Jane in race nine, an A2, for William O'Shea.

The 5-2 winner was making it three wins from its last four outings with a powerful running performance to clock 28.42.

IMPRESSED

In the previous race, Millridge Blake impressed with a stunning 28.44 winning performance in the A1 contest.

Showing a nice touch of early pace, Donal O'Mahony's dog returned the winning ways while making it a seventh career success.

CONVINCING WINNER

In the tenth, an AA0/AO, South Of Georgia ran out a convincing winner.

In the ownership of K.Casey O'Connell, the 7-2 shot came away running and it was all one way traffic up front. A superb display, winning in 28.55.
