All three semi-finals of the Bosco Gleeson Memorial A2/A3 525 at Newbridge were won in fast times with only less than a length separating the fastest and slowest heat winners.
For the second week running, Da Quiet Syd set the standard as he led home Mad George to clock 28.57. Taking charge entering the back straight, the son of Droopys Sydney eased right away to score by seven lengths.
Just two spots slower was Barry Clancy’s Innfield Rapid as she lived up to her name in the second heat. Never too far away, she stayed on well to lead ion the closing yards for a length and a half verdict over Lively Blake in 28.59.
The opening heat went the way of Eric Thorpe’s Black Emperor. The second of Lenson Rocky took charge at the turn and proceeded to see off Ekin Su by a length in 28.63.
