Barefoot Awesome completed a tremendous unbeaten path through the Lord Unraced Stake at Enniscorthy on Monday night.

The Paul Hennessy trained son of Good Cody and Drifting Abbey was actually headed to the turn for the first time in his career by Snipersnightmare but found a way to the front in the second half.

After missing the start, Barefoot Awesome made his way towards the fence before turning second. He then set his sights on the leader down the back straight. Shooting up the fence at the third turn, Bryan and Kathleen Murphy’s youngster took charge before containing the late charge of Droopy Comrade by a length and a half in 29.04. Snipersnightmare was a further length adrift in third.
