TIMMYS ROVER was the standout performer in the semi-finals of the Davy O'Brien Memorial A3 stake at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.
Owned and trained by Tim Cliffe, the May puppy delivered a superb performance in the second semi-final. In truth, it was all one-way traffic up front as the 6-4 favourite won in great style. A 29.85 winning performance, seven lengths back to Ballyboy Paddy in second. (550).
ONE TWO
It was a one two for trainer John Linehan in the opening heat.
Hot favourite Droopys Rampant just getting the better of Blarney Belle. The 4-7 favourite sat second for most of the journey, pulling out all the stops in the closing stages, Droopys Rampant beat Blarney Belle, by a neck, in 30.05. (550).
In other races, Churchtown Syd who is trained by Denis Fitzgerald for Mick Crotty, took the open 550 in 29.84. A powerful display from the even money favourite.
