SOME REALLY NICE PERFORMANCES AROUND CURRAHEEN PARK

Barry Drake

Footfield Athena was quickest over the standard trip at Curraheen Park on Saturday night as the Johnny Linehan-trained runner delivered an impressive 28.44 winning display.

In the ownership of Martin Hagan, the 2-1 shot produced a dream start to easily lead around the opening turns. Showing plenty of pace up front, it was a fourth career success for the classy sort, a length clear of the fast finishing Bumpy Frank. (A1).
ANOTHER TO IMPRESS
In the previous race, Move To Soon was another to impress as the Kieran Lynch trained 6-4 second favourite scored in 28.49.

A winner on debut back in early August, the exciting young talent made it back to back winning runs in great style. Another likeable performance to win by four and a half lengths, making all the running for owners the Length and a half syndicate. (A2).
STRONG RUN
Lynch also won the 10th, this time with Ballinacarriga for owners the Anna-Mac-Synicate.

Always towards the head of affairs, the 2-1 winner took control on the turns for home, staying on strongly to land the spoils, in 28.57. Two and a half lengths back to Brogan Highway in second place. (A0).
NAP SELECTION
Our nap selection Coosey Hall was a great winner of the sixth, an A1, for trainer James Kelleher and the Castlegrounds-Synocate.

The outcome was never in doubt as the 5-4 favourite showed massive all round gears, delivering a brilliant 31.48 performance for the 575-yard race.
WINNING DEBUT
Aghaburren Dave (Laughil Blake-Aghaburren Model) made a real class debut, posting 28.79 for Mossy O'Leary.

The February youngster looks a really bright talent and he's one to watch going forward.
