ENGLISH DERBY SECOND ROUND DRAW

The second-round draw for the Star Sports/ TRC English Derby was made yesterday afternoon and it has largely worked out very kindly for the remaining 24 Irish trained greyhounds.
There are a few heats with two Irish challengers clashing and only one where three Irish will take each other on.
It seems safe to say that all the big guns from these shores are likely to progress and hopes are high that we can certainly increase our ratio of runners to greyhounds left. At present, Ireland is responsible for exactly 25% of the last 96 greyhounds. It is perfectly conceivable we could have as many as 33% of the remaining 48 after Friday and Saturday’s second round heats. The draw can be found below:
