KINTURK ROAD, trained by Liam Dowling for owner Frank Thornton, delivered a magnificent display to win the final of the €5,000 to the winner Deadly Kennels Open 750.
The 5-4 market leader was making it three straight wins in the event and the powerful winner put on another big finish to land the spoils in the decider.
It was all about Sesame Street and Laughil King for most of the way but Kinturk Road was well on top when it mattered. Finishing best of all in the second half of the race, Kinturk Road got the better of Laughil King, by half a length, in 42.04, with a length back to Magical Mary in third place.
DENIS LINEHAN UNRACED STAKE
The opening round of the Denis Linehan Unraced stake also got underway.
Droopys Zelda (6-4) (Pestana-Droopys Dance) took the opening heat for trainer John Linehan and owners the O'Neills-On-Tour-Syndicate. The October puppy impressed with a brilliant 28.64 winning performance.
Cooladerry Dust (6-4) showed massive all round pace when finishing with a flourish to take the second heat. The son of Good News and Glenduff Callie, a November puppy, got up where it mattered to land the spoils. Rural Wildcat a short head back in second.
It was all about Jetara (Droopys Sydney-Jetstream Lynx) in the third heat. Trained by Owen McKeanna for Peter Comerford, the September puppy put on a superb display to win with plenty to spare. All one way traffic up front, the 5-4 winner showed sensational all round speed to win, in 28.33, eight lengths back to Burgess Bono in second.
Orchid Legacy won the fourth heat for trainer Patrick Barrett and Michael Clark. A son of Droopys Sydney and Cicero, the 9-4 shot turned second and the December puppy pulled out all the stops in the closing yards to land the spoils. A brave display as got the better of favourite Castle Duke, by half a length, in 28.49.
Heat five went the way of Droopys Flytline (Laughil Blake-Droopys Curio) for trainer Robert Gleeson for owners Alice Guiney Gleeson and Michael Dunphy. The September puppy tracked the early pace, but the 4-5 favourite was much the stronger in the second half of the race. A 28.76 winning performance, five lengths clear of Ballinbola Una in second place.
In the sixth heat, Carrigoon West (Droopys Sydney-Carrigoon Lottie) impressed with a 28.57 winning performance for Noel Casey. The September puppy was in control right away and the bright prospect delivered a fantasic performance to beat Droopys Elk by three lengths.
DREAM START
The final of the €1,800 Dan & Sheila Buckley Memorial A3 stake went the way of Bartlemy Sham for trainer Kieran Lynch for owner Liam Mannix.
The 4-1 shot produced a dream start to turn right in the mix. Always within touching distance up in front, Bartlemy Sham kept on strongly to land the spoils, in 28.80, at odds of 4-1. Three quarters of a length back to fast finishing Strike It Alice.
IN OTHER RACES
In the 11th, Galloping Sydney made all the running for trainer Graham Holland and owner Una Creed. The even-money favourite was a brilliant 28.45 winner, at odds of even money.
In the closing race, Move To Soon scored in great style for trainer Kieran Lynch and owners the Length-And-A-Half-Synciate. The even-money returned to top form with a really likeable 28.45 winning performance.
