Both Jetara and Droopys Flytline recorded sensational performances in the semi-finals of the Denis Linehan Solicitors Unraced Stake at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.
Jetara (Droopys Sydney-Jetstream Lynx) went one spot quicker than Droopys Flytline when making it three straight wins in the opener, clocking a top class, 28.17 for trainer Owen McKenna and owner Peter Comerford.
The September puppy, a 4-5 favourite, displayed huge early pace and in truth, it was over as a contest in a couple of strides. In top gear on the back straight, the impressive winner was in total control throughout and he kept on well to beat Orchid Legacy, by five and a half lengths. A length back to Droopys Zelda in third.
DROOPYS FLYTLINE
In the second heat, it was all about Droopys Flytline (Laughil Blake-Droopys Curio) as the 4-6 favourite was another to make it three straight wins, in 28.18.
Trained by Robert Gleeson for Michael Dunphy and Alice Guiney Gleeson, the September puppy just had enough early pace to slip around in front from Daleroad Duke. Showing massive back straight speed to open up a five-length lead, there was no stopping Droopys Flytline as he maintained a powerful gallop all the way home. Daleroad Duke was second best, five and a half lengths back. Size More a further three and a half lengths back in third.
BIG EARLY SPEED
Droopys Beglin, trained by Johnny Linehan for Barry O'Driscoll, made the most of the drop into A1 company when winning the third of the night.
The 1-2 favourite was making it a third win on career outing number six, showing plenty of early speed, it was a superb front running display, in 28.41, two lengths clear of the running on Ballincarriga.
A LOVELY INJECTION OF EARLY PACE
In the following race, Bredas Wood showed a lovely injection of early pace to lead around the opening turns and from there, she always looked good at the head of affairs.
Trained by Matthew Harte for Pat Carey, the 2-1 shot was returning to winning form in 28.33. Dellser Bells ran well for second, a length and a half back. (A0).
SCORED EASILY
In race eight, Goldcash Ice scored easily in the A1 contest, for Jack Mead and Mairead Doyle.
The October puppy, a 4-6 favourite, hit the ground running and once she led early, it was game over. Showing bundles of pace up front, it was all one-way traffic as the most impressive winner clocked a career best of 28.34 to win easily.
20TH CAREER WIN FOR GALLOPING SYDNEY
Trained by Graham Holland for Una Creed, Galloping Sydney had enough early dash to overcome the trap five draw in the closing race.
The 4-5 favourite had to be at his best early as he just slipped around in front from Halo. Pulling out all the stops in front, the classy performer made it win number 20, in 28.36.
