SUPER SUSIE IMPRESSES IN TRIAL

It may have been almost four months since the last mark on her card, when capturing the Boylesports Derby, but Susie Sapphire was back in action at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night and she flew around in a sprint trial ahead of racing.

In her time away from the track, the sensational daughter of Droopys Jet turned two years of age and it’s clear she has lost none of her sparkle. In fact, it would come as no surprise if she were to be even better in 2022. 

On a night when the track was far from bouncing, Susie Sapphire posted a brilliant 18.57. It was enough to bring memories of her incredible Derby success flooding back and we look forward to her return to racing.
