MORRIGAN FAY, trained by Kieran Lynch for John Hyde and James Spillane, put on a career-best to win Saturday night's feature at Curraheen Park, the €3,500 to the winner Gaytime Kennels A2/A3 Stake Final.
The 4-1 winner overcame what looked like a tricky draw in trap four with an explosive start to win the all-important early lead. From there, the bright prospect was always in total control.
Displaying plenty of speed at the head of affairs, the impressive winner came home six lengths clear of Hollyhill Pad, in 28.65. A young greyhound going places, Morrigan Fay has now won four of his six career starts.
STRONG RUNNING.
Elsewhere on the card, the A1 525 was won by the strong-running Acoustic Belle for Ger Crowley. The 4-1 shot was out the back early on and she flew home to land the spoils. A massive staying performance to score, in 29.05, three-quarters of a length clear of Attiko.
