EAZY RAZZLE completed back-to-back wins in the opening semi-final of the Elite Contracting Open 575 at Curraheen Park on Saturday night.
Trained by John Linehan for owner Barry Rocks, the 6-4 second choice of the punters produced a great start and once she slipped around in front, she was then in total control. Gaytime Hugo looked a real danger on the back straight, but Eazy Razzle was strong throughout and she delivered another top class performance, posting 30.89 and beating the fast finishing Tuono Charlie, by two lengths, in 30.89. Three quarters of a length back to Gaytime Hugo in third place.
In the second semi final, ORCHID LEGACY delivered a fine front running winning display for trainer Patrick Barrett and owner Michael Clark. The 5-1 winner displayed plenty of early pace and he sailed around the opening turns in front. Opening up on the back straight, he quickly put the race to bed as Swords Fudge gave chase in second. Keeping on well up front, it was all one way traffic at the head of affairs as the impressive winner beat the staying on Rural Kihei, by seven and a half lengths, in 30.92. Half a length back to Nomadic Nova in third place.
