Foxmount Lough made the most of an ideal draw in the stripes to land the feature at Shelbourne Park on Friday evening, the final of the RCETS A2 Dual Distance.
The daughter of Droopys Sydney and Lough Saoirse needed to be on her toes early and that wasn’t a problem.
With Kinturk Road edging inwards from trap four, holding up the favourite Thats Gizmo in the opening yards, Foxmount Lough found herself in the perfect position. Showing early speed on the outside of the track she managed to get around Black Bridges into the bend before setting sail for home.
Thats Gizmo moved into second to the third turn but could never get close enough to worry the pace-setter. Trained by Lester Power for Jack Molloy and David Kent, Foxmount Lough ran out a ready five length winner over Thats Gizmo in 31.98 on a track rated .40 slow.
