DUSTY SETS BLACKSTONE PACE AT KILKENNY

DUSTY SETS BLACKSTONE PACE AT KILKENNY

Ian Fortune

The highlight of Friday’s card at Kilkenny was the opening round of the Blackstone Kennels A2 525 and Bogger Dusty set the standard, taking the opening heat for Liam Peacock.

The son of Droopys Biker and Mustang Swift was quickly in charge before justifying favouritism by some five and a half lengths from Foyle Amy in 29.11.

RATTLE GETS LOOSE

Rattlefence won the second heat for Paraic Campion and the Few Sons Syndicate in similar fashion.

The son of Droopys Jet and Paper Doll was always in front before coming home with a length to spare over Mr Skinny Legs in 29.54.

LIMO CRUISES HOME

Early speed was again the key to success in Heat 3 with the Michael O’Donovan trained Watch The Limo always at the head of affairs after a flying start.

A well bred son of Droopys Sydney and Limini, the July whelp ran out a length scorer in 29.34.

ROSIE TOO STRONG

Bernadette Manogue’s Random Rosie was the first of the heat winners to come from off the pace. Despite a bump on the corner, the daughter of Droopys Jet and Deadly Robin came through to score by a neck from Kapuka Warrior in 29.51.

CELT TOO SHARP

The final heat went the way of Knockdrinna Celt.

Jointly owned by Thomas Leahy and Robbie Dowling, the son of Droopys Jet and White Star was too sharp for his rivals, leading throughout to come home a length and a half to the good over Ballybough Bela in 29.31.
