APACHE LANDS JUVENILE AT TOWCESTER

The feature of the weekend’s action in the UK was the RGTV Juvenile at Towcester on Sunday afternoon and Bubbly Apache ran out a tremendous winner for Paul Young and the Champagne Club.

Prominent from the outset, he was on the outside of both Brookside Richie and Signet Otis into the bend.

Signet Otis was left short of room leaving both Brookside Richie and Bubbly Apache to dispute the pace into the back straight. The latter finally shook off Brookside Richie into the third turn and then stayed on well to land the £5,000 prize by a length and a half from the fast-finishing Trumps Benefit in 29.63.

The winner, a son of Loughteen Blanco and Droopys Berry, is now a 25-1 chance with sponsors Star Sports for the English Derby.
