Once again, the Irish Focus will be coming at you earlier than the normal Wednesday 6pm slot due to the fact that it is New Years.
This week’s instalment will be released at 4pm this afternoon and there is plenty to reflect on from the past few days.
The feature is at Shelbourne Park with the final of the Bernard Barry Christmas Oaks providing a wonderful winner in the form of Silverhill Freya. We will reflect on her success as well as the semi-finals of the Gold Collar, while also looking ahead to next weekend’s decider.
Sadly, due to an injury to the favourite, we won’t be able to bring you the wonderful success of Highjay Muzzy as she defended her Shelbourne Marathon crown. The same fate befell the final of the Elite Construction Open 575 at Cork with a faller at the turn.
We will, however, be at Tralee to bring you the brilliant Eric Browne Memorial Kingdom Derby success of Ballymac Briar.
And to sign off 2024, we will look back at the final big race decider of the year, that of the Riverside Kennels Munster Christmas Cup that was won in such dominant fashion by Im An Exile.
Head over to https://www.sisracing.tv/tag/irish/ after 4pm and remind yourself of what a wonderful weekend it was in Irish greyhound racing.
