2021 CLASSICS & FEATURE EVENTS CALENDAR

Rásíocht Con Éireann (RCÉ) / Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI) has finalised the 2021 Classics and Feature Events Calendar.

This follows a difficult scheduling of events in 2020 arising from the Covid 19 pandemic.

The calendar provides for all key events to take place in 2021 and the following are some key dates for your diary in 2021:

  • - The Final of the Irish Greyhound Derby 550 will take place on 18th September 2021
  • - The Final of the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial January ’19 (or younger) 525 Stake will take place on 24th April 2021
  • - The Final of the Irish Greyhound Laurels will take place on 16th October 2021
  • - The Final of the Irish St. Leger will take place on 27th November 2021
  • - The Night of Stars will take place at Shelbourne Park on 4th December 2021
  • - The Final of the Irish Oaks will take place on 19th June 2021
  • - The Final of the Irish Sprint Cup will take place on 15th August 2021
  • - The Final of the Corn Cuchullainn will take place on 17th July 2021
  • - The Final of the Juvenile Unraced Classic will take place on 13th March 2021
  • - The Final of the Produce Stakes will take place on 6th June 2021

  • - The Final of the Irish Cesarewitch will take place on 15th May 2021

RCÉ will be working closely with sponsors and track management to deliver on the schedule outlined. As ‘racing behind closed doors’ is now permitted under all levels of the government’s Resilience and Recovery Plan, RCÉ  is confident that the calendar can be delivered in accordance with the schedule set out.
